Greg Anderson

Global Head of FX Strategy


Greg Anderson is BMO’s Global Head of FX Strategy and is based in its NYC office. He has twenty years of experience as an FX strategist, having worked at Citi, ABN AMRO and BankBoston prior to joining BMO in 2013. Greg has extensive experience as an analyst of both G10 and local-market currencies.  He has a particularly deep expertise in the NAFTA currencies. He is the creator of BMO’s Fair Value Model for USDCAD and has extensive experience in the modelling of exchange rates. Greg is a believer that domestic and global political issues are important FX market ‘fundamentals’ so he frequently highlights them in his research and presentations. He is oft-quoted by the newswires and has made many appearances on TV outlets such as Bloomberg, CNBC and BNN. Greg is a CFA charter holder. He earned a PhD in economics from Brandeis University and a BS from Brigham Young University. He has lectured on global markets at a number of universities.

Brad Bailey

Research Director, Capital Markets


Brad J. Bailey is a Research Director with Celent's Securities and Investments practice, based in the firm's New York office. He is an expert in electronic trading and market structure across asset classes and is a recognized thought leader in emerging front office technology and capital markets fintech.
Brad's research focuses on the evolution of market structure, trading, data analytics, and innovations in trading technology architecture and deployment. His research looks at legacy trading architecture and how firm's best incorporate alternative business and digital models. He has published research on FX, fixed income, cross-asset trading, DLT in the capital markets, exchange technology, and cloud models for deploying trading and data infrastructure. His recent consulting work involves advising clients on key capital market trends, trading platforms in listed and OTC markets, and alternative models for interacting with fragmenting liquidity. He has also advised and performed due diligence for venture and private equity investors.
An authority on capital market fintech, Brad has been widely quoted in the press, including the Wall Street Journal, American Banker, Financial Times, Institutional Investor, Forbes, USA Today, and the New York Post as well as appearing on Bloomberg TV, BBC News, Sirius Radio, and NPR. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences and client gatherings globally.
Prior to joining Celent, Brad spent over 20 years in the capital markets in trading, technology systems, product, market structure, strategy, analysis, and consulting at investment banks and broker dealers that include KCG Holdings (cross asset strategy and market structure), Aite Group (consultant and analyst in electronic and algo trading), RBC Carlin (quantitative equity trader), Citigroup (interest rate futures and listed derivative futures trading and sales) and ICAP (brokerage of credit derivatives and asset backed swaps). He also served on the boards of markets technology start-ups and the Equiduct exchange based in Brussels. He began his career as a software engineer in Tokyo. Additionally, he has worked in China, France and Spain.
Brad holds an MSc from University of Colorado in Boulder, and a BS in mechanical & aerospace engineering from Rutgers University. He is fluent in French, Spanish, and can speak German, and has a working knowledge of Chinese and Japanese. Outside of work, he has taught skiing to Special Olympic Athletes and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean on a 13 meter ketch.



Peter Carey

Chief Operating Officer


Peter Carey is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Lumint, a CTA specializing in customized currency overlay solutions for institutional investors.  Peter oversees daily operations and research functions, and is responsible for developing the performance attribution and analytics features embedded in Lumint's proprietary hedging platform.  Peter joined the firm in July of 2014, after working as a Vice President on the Currency Management team at State Street Global Markets.  Prior to working in currency markets, he also worked as an actuarial consultant at Mercer, providing liability valuation services to pension plans.  Peter is a CFA Charterholder, and received an MBA from Boston College and a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Brown University.

Arnab Das

Global Head of Emerging Market Macro


Arnab Das is Global Market Strategist in the EMEA region, based in London, and a member of Invesco’s Global Thought Leadership team. He helps develop and communicate analysis and insight on the global economy and financial markets across asset classes for clients, media, governments and central banks. He works with Invesco’s investment teams across disciplines and regions and is a member of Invesco’s Global Investor Forum Advisory Council with a focus on global macro and emerging markets. Arnab’s research interests span economic policy, performance and reform; and economic and financial history.

Arnab joined Invesco in 2015 as Head of EM macro research for Invesco Fixed Income. He began his career in finance in 1992, and has served as Co-head of Economic Research & Strategy at Roubini Global Economics; Co-head of Global Economics & Strategy, Head of Global FX Research, and Head of EM Economics & Strategy at Dresdner Kleinwort; and Head of EEMEA Research at JP Morgan. He has also been a private consultant in global and emerging markets, as well as consulting with Trusted Sources, a specialist EM research boutique.

Arnab’s studies were in macroeconomics, economic history and international political economy. He received an AB from Princeton University in 1986 and completed his postgraduate and doctoral work at the London School of Economics in 1987-1992.

John Drohan III



Jack is President of ACI The Financial Markets Association for the Americas, and a member of its Global Regulatory Working Group. Founded in 1955, ACIFMA is the world’s oldest and largest financial association, representing over 14,000 capital markets dealers in 40 countries.

Jack is also a partner with Drohan Lee, an investment law firm with offices in New York, D.C., Albany and Toronto, representing numerous banks, broker dealers, funds and institutional investors in the FX space for more than 20 years.

Prior to practicing derivatives law, Jack had an 11-year institutional trading career, as a senior capital markets dealer for banks including First Chicago International and Deutsche Bank. His trading experience includes major spot and forward currencies, options and other derivatives. Mr. Drohan is a frequent speaker at industry and academic conferences, and has published articles on financial economics, federal civil procedure, and the economic impacts of financial regulation. He has served as a rostered arbitrator for National Futures Association, and a trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission for New York.

Indrani De

Managing Director, Macro and Country Risk


Indrani De, CFA, PRM, is Managing Director of Macro & Country Risk, in Enterprise Risk Management at TIAA. Her responsibilities include macroeconomic and financial markets analysis, economic forecasting, key risk indicators and asset class outlook, stress testing and sensitivity analysis, and identification and evaluation of emerging risks. Prior to TIAA, she was Senior Director of Quantitative Research at institutional buy-side investment firm New Amsterdam Partners. Earlier in her career, she worked as an investment analyst for GE Capital and 20th Century Venture Capital. She has been published in the Journal of Investing, Journal of Investment Consulting and NYSSA Financial Professionals' Post. Indrani is a past president and on the Board of Directors of the Society of Quantitative Analysts (SQA). She has been a frequent speaker at leading industry conferences and been quoted in major media outlets like Reuters, Forbes and Financial Planning. Indrani received an undergraduate degree in Economics (Honors) from University of Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore). She completed the coursework for a PhD (Business-Major in Finance) at the City University of New York with a full merit scholarship, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Professional Risk Manager designations. Indrani lives in Livingston, New Jersey and enjoys reading on a wide range of subjects and travelling the world. She has travelled to more than forty countries.


Pete Eggleston

Pete Eggleston is one of the co-founders of BestX, a technology firm providing best execution analytics, which he founded in January 2016. He was previously at Morgan Stanley, joining in August 2010 to set up the Quantitative Solutions & Innovations (QSI) team within the Fixed Income Division, a client-facing quantitative group that sought to add value to client investment processes through the delivery of TCA and execution analytics, algorithmic products and bespoke projects. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Pete has held a number of roles within the financial sector, commencing his career at NatWest Markets in 1992, and subsequently ABN AMRO and RBS.

Michael Gapen

Managing Director, Head of US Economics Research


Michael Gapen is a Managing Director and Head of US Economics Research at Barclays. Mr. Gapen is responsible for the firm’s outlook for the US economy and, in particular, US monetary policy and the impact of financial markets on the economy. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Gapen was a Senior US Economist and, following his appointment as Asset Allocation Strategist in January 2012, Mr. Gapen took on additional responsibility for forming the firm’s asset allocation views and marketing them to clients. Mr. Gapen joined Barclays in 2010 from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, where he was a Section Chief responsible for monetary and financial market analysis. In that capacity, he assisted the Board and the FOMC in the formulation of monetary policy and the Federal Reserve’s response to the financial crisis. Prior to that, he served as an Economist with the International Monetary Fund. Mr. Gapen has also taught Finance and Economics at the Kelly School of Business and Department of Economics at Indiana University, Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, and the Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University.

Dimitri Grechenko

Head of Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities


Fixed Income Portfolio Manager with hands-on experience managing multi-sector Fixed Income portfolios benchmarked to Barclays US Aggregate and its customized versions. Significant experience managing duration, curve exposures and sector allocation to optimize both long term and short term outperformance objectives. Hands-on experience with currency exposure management. Advocate of top-down approach to duration, curve, sector allocation and some aspects of security selection strategy. Believer in active trading as a source of outperformance within duration, curve, security selection and currency management components of overall strategy.

Current focus includes commodities in addition to Fixed Income and Currencies.

Worked at Legg Mason, T.Rowe Price, NISA Investment Advisors among others prior to joining Maryland State Retirement and Pension System.

Michael Hanson

Head of Global Macro Strategy


 Michael is the Head of Global Macro Strategy and Chief US Macro Strategist at TD Securities in New York, responsible for market-relevant analysis of economics and policy and managing the firm's macro products. Prior to joining TD in 2017, Michael worked for over seven years as a senior US and global economist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has previously held positions at the Federal Reserve Board, Lehman Brothers, and the New York Fed, as well as teaching at Wesleyan University and the Yale School of Management. Michael graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and has earned an MA in mathematics from New York University and a PhD in economics from the University of Michigan.

Amit Kaushik

Head of Quantitative Research and Portfolio Management


Amit is the head of quantitative research and PM at Blockseed Investments, New York. His fund invests in digital assets and cryptocurrencies using quantitative and systematic strategies. 

Amit is an investment professional with over twelve years of Wall Street Sell Side and Buy Side experience. He is a successful quantitative researcher with extensive experience in modeling and development of Interest Rate Structured Products, Commodities Exotics, and Cross Currency Correlation Options. His experience includes quantitative strategist/researcher/analyst roles with the structured products trading desk at the Bank of America, commodities and rates exotics derivatives at the Barclays, and commodities and FX at the Millennium Management.

Amit received an MS focussed on quantitative research in Business from the Penn State and an MS and BS in Engineering from IIT Bombay. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and the Certificate in Quantitative Finance® designations.

Daniel Lavigne

Director, Trading


Dan Lavigne is Director, Trading at OMERS one of Canada’s largest pension plan. He is responsible for the execution of global derivatives (Equities, Fixed-Income, Foreign Exchange and Commodities) and provides advisory services across business units.  Mr. Lavigne has 20 years of experience in FX industry and has been focusing on algorithmic trading, best execution and building a robust TCA process.  Mr. Lavigne holds an M.Sc. Finance from Laval University and holds the CFA designation.  He joined OMERS in 2007.


Erik Lehtis

Head of FX


Erik's trading career has spanned 30+ years in the foreign exchange market, at a range of banks and proprietary trading firms, across a spectrum of technological change.  From the early days of voice broker and telephone execution in the interbank market to the modern world of sub-microsecond automated market-making, API and algorithmic order execution and risk management, he has faced the many challenges on the bleeding edge of FX. He began his career at Crocker National Bank in San Francisco as a spot FX dealer, and after 17 years at a variety of banks in NY and Chicago, he left the banking world for the proprietary trading space, holding a succession pf positions at DRW Trading, Allston Trading and Wolverine Trading, before a 4-year period consulting into the institutional FX space. He is currently head of FX at Quadeye Securities, a quantitative trading firm, where he focuses on liquidity and risk management issues while leading a project to build a proprietary trading platform. Erik attended the Georgetown University Schools of Foreign Service and Business Administration before receiving a BS In Economics at the University of San Francisco, and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Chicago.

Ulf J. Lindahl

Ulf joined A.G. Bisset at its inception in 1981 responsible for developing the systematic trend-following models that are at the core of the firm's currency programs. He is responsible for the firm's investment research and has authored the firm's Review of Emerging Trends since 1984. Ulf Lindahl has a BA in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Ken Monahan

Senior Analyst


Ken is a Senior Analyst on the Market Structure and Technology team. Prior to joining the Firm, Ken operated a market structure consulting practice that included work in FX, listed derivatives, fixed income, and FinTech serving regulators, investors and other industry participants.

He was the global head of business development for Equities at Deutsche Bank, a role in which he addressed market structure issues in both developed and emerging markets, executing the first trades on both ISE in the United States and the DIFX in Dubai. During his tenure at Deutsche Bank, he was the co-head of N.A. equity derivatives trading.

Ken started his career working on the floor of the CME in Chicago for Swiss Bank O’Connor’s FX options market making group.

He is a graduate and an active alum of the University of Chicago.

Stephen Morton

Chief Investment Officer


Stephen Morton, CFA - Chief Investment Officer, developed the Inyo approach based on extensive trading and investment management experience, coupled with his passion for modern portfolio theory and an insistence on liquid, transparent investments. Steve built the foundations of the Inyo strategy as a market maker and proprietary trader, honed the methodology in the late 1990s, and has applied the investment process from January 2000. He began his career at Salomon Brothers, led investment businesses at top financial institutions including Blackstone and BNP, and launched Natixis’ absolute return business in 2008. Steve earned his MBA from UCLA, is a Fulbright Fellowship recipient, and graduated with honors from UC Santa Cruz.

Michael O'Brien, Vice President, Director of Global Trading, EATON VANCE

Michael O'Brien is a vice president of Eaton Vance Management and head of global trading, overseeing a team responsible for best execution of all trades for the Global Fixed Income department as well as other foreign exchange spot and hedging trades for other Eaton Vance investment teams. In addition, he is responsible for trading-related research and broker-dealer relationships for the Global Fixed Income department.

Prior to joining Eaton Vance in 2005, Michael was affiliated with Wellington Management Company for two years and spent three years at Brown Brothers Harriman.
Michael earned a B.A. in economics and Spanish from the Colby College, and an M.S. in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.


Andrew Poston

Director, Derivatives and Quantitative Strategies


Mr. Poston joined the Derivatives and Quantitative Strategies team at Sun Life Investment Management in August of 2008.  He is a member of the trading group and is responsible for the execution of fixed income, equity, and currency derivative trading  as well as cash equity trading.  He holds a BS degree in Finance and Accounting from Boston College and is has been a CFA charter holder since 2011, a CPA since 2006 and holds the FRM designation.

Robert Savage is a Partner and the Chief Executive Officer of CCTrack Solutions. Prior to forming CCTrack Solutions, he was the COO at FX Concepts. Prior to FX Concepts, Mr. Savage was Managing Director of FX Macro Sales at Goldman Sachs, where began to publish widely-read and insightful research focusing on the FX markets and the macroeconomic environment. Prior to his 23 years with Goldman Sachs, Mr. Savage was the Head of New York Foreign Exchange Trading for Lehman Brothers and a Director of Proprietary Trading at Bank of America Securities. Mr. Savage received a BA in Political Philosophy from Yale University.

Torsten Slok

Chief International Economist


Torsten Slok joined Deutsche Bank Securities in the fall of 2005 and is a senior member of the Global Economics Team.
Mr. Slok’s Economics team was ranked No. 1 in fixed income research by Institutional Investor in 2010 and 2011. Slok currently serves as a member of the Economic Club of New York
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Slok worked at the OECD in Paris in the Money and Finance Division and the Structural Policy Analysis Division. Before joining the OECD he worked for four years at the IMF in the Division responsible for writing the World Economic Outlook and the Division responsible for China, Hong Kong, and Mongolia.
Mr. Slok studied at University of Copenhagen and Princeton University. He has published numerous journal articles and reviews on economics and policy analysis.

Sash Sarangi

Sash Sarangi is a Senior Strategist at Invesco where he helps develop factor based strategies in FX and Fixed Income. Prior to joining Invesco he was a portfolio manager and trader at FDO Partners, a Boston based asset management firm, from 2012 to 2018. Prior to FDO, Sash was a quantitative analyst at Citigroup from 2010 to 2012 focusing on fixed income products. He also worked as a financial engineer at Bloomberg from 2009 June to 2010 January. Sash has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Cornell University. After his PhD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Columbia University from 2005 to 2009. Apart from these roles, Sash has also served as a consultant advisor to the Boston based commodities hedgefund, Cargometrics. Sash maintains a keen interest in various science and technology developments and has written a book on Artificial Intelligence published by Taylor & Francis.

Justin Slaughter

Political and Business Consultant


Justin has served in just about every area of government and politics, from Capitol Hill to the Executive Branch, and from the judiciary to political campaigns. As Chief Policy Adviser and Special Counsel to Commodity Futures Trading Commissioner Sharon Y. Bowen, Justin advised the Commissioner on all matters of policy, politics, press and law regarding the futures and swaps markets, including advising the Commissioner on regulations regarding algorithmic trading, cybersecurity, fintech, and corporate governance. Prior to that, Justin served as General Counsel to Senator Edward J. Markey of Massachusetts and advised the Senator on matters of law, finance, taxation, and foreign policy, including implementation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and JOBS Act, policies to spur domestic economic growth, government funding and the raising of the debt ceiling, executive branch nominations involving economic and financial policy, and efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Justin has also served as Investigative Counsel on the Minority Staff of the House Natural Resources Committee, where he engaged in oversight and investigations of the energy futures markets. Justin has also practiced law at the Washington office of McDermott Will and Emery LLP, where he focused his practice on securities and congressional investigations. Justin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jerome Farris on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. A native of Atlanta, GA, Justin is a graduate of Yale Law School (J.D.) and Columbia University (B.A.).
